Electric Piquete - Electric Piquete EP CD

Formed in 2008, Electric Piquete is Hialeah, FL-based and self-described as “Latin funk fusionistas “. Their sound is a blend of rock, jazz, funk, Latin and world grooves. Named the “Best Latin Band” by the Miami New Times in 2009, the group consists of Ed Rosado (drums), Michael Mut (bass), Chris Correoso (guitar), Ozzy Reyes (tenor saxophone), Rich Dixon (trumpet / flugelhorn), John Normandin (trombone) and Emilio Turros (percussion). This debut release features guest performances by Charles “Chip” Gardner (keyboards), DJ Le Spam (remixing), Mercedes Abal (vocals) and Tomas Diaz (vocals and percussion).
